Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assign staff for duties daily and by project.
• Coordinate with other service supervisors to avoid interruptions to patient care.
• Clean patient areas and corridors in the medical center and operating rooms as assigned.
• Ensure efficient and economical completion of work within policies and schedules.
• Plan and schedule daily and weekly assignments considering personnel and equipment availability.
• Provide on-the-job training for subordinates and new employees.
• Keep subordinates informed on proper methods, procedures and equipment use.
• Control use of supplies and equipment to manage costs.
• Conduct in-use testing of equipment and supplies and provide feedback.
• Ensure safety regulations are observed; may conduct safety training.
• Supervise distribution of uniforms and textiles; maintain records.
• Approve leave requests and counsel employees as needed; recommend disciplinary actions.
• Perform related duties as required.
