Education

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Knowledge of regulatory environment; knowledge of cleaning chemicals; proper use and
  maintenance of power equipment, such as automatic scrubbers, carpet shampooer, etc.; proper floor care; carpet textile; upholstery fabrics; wall and floor coverings; wood; and synthetic finishes.
• Strong supervisory skills to ensure that work techniques, quality assurance standards, department policies and procedures and job specifications are adhered to.
• Strong interpersonal communication, service recovery and conflict mediation skills to deal courteously and build relationships with employees, patients, families, visitors, nurses, physicians, unit directors, etc.
