Job summary

Hollywood Casino at Greektown is seeking an EVS associate to clean the casino interior and surrounding grounds. duties include floor maintenance, carpet shampooing, high-dusting, restroom cleaning, and general upkeep of outside areas.

The role requires reading and writing English, good guest interaction, and the ability to follow directions. You’ll work with durable cleaning equipment and adapt to new procedures as needed.

• Ability to communicate with guests and team members, maintaining a friendly, polite demeanor at all times.
• Ability to follow and give directions effectively.
• Thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Must be able to identify unsafe practices or conditions by observation.
• Team members will be required to adapt to new technology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards to ensure the quality and the cleanliness in the casino and other required areas.
• Keep marble and hardwood floors polished and cleaned.
• Shampoo assigned carpeted areas as assigned.
• Utilization of specialty equipment to dust high areas.
• Able to operate lift for high dusting.
• Deep cleaning of restrooms as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness of Greektown Casino-Hotel parking structure.
• Maintain all grounds/outside entrances leading to casino and other required areas.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in an orderly manner as instructed by leadership.
• Report maintenance needs to the EVS team leader on duty.
• Report emergency repairs or situations to the EVS team leader on duty.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for the outside/grounds cleanliness and/or heavy duty cleaning inside casino. inside casino duties include marble and hardwood floor cleaning, high dusting of ledges, general cleaning of restrooms, and carpet shampooing. Outside duties consist of upkeep of all areas around the Greektown Casino-Hotel property.
