Regional West Medical Center is seeking a proactive and service-driven EVS Manager to lead daily Environmental Services operations and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role plays a critical part in infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and overall patient satisfaction through high-quality environmental hygiene standards.

A Day in the Life of

Your day begins with a walk-through of the hospital, assessing cleanliness, workflow, and team readiness. As the leader of Environmental Services, you quickly step into action-coordinating staffing, assigning priorities, and ensuring all areas of the facility meet strict cleanliness and safety standards.

Throughout the day, you’re actively supervising, coaching, and supporting EVS staff, making sure team members are equipped and aligned to deliver consistent, high-quality cleaning and disinfection services across patient rooms, surgical areas, and public spaces.

You collaborate closely with Infection Prevention and clinical teams to ensure compliance with evidence-based cleaning protocols, especially in high-risk areas like isolation rooms and operating rooms. When challenges arise- such as urgent cleaning needs or infection control concerns you step in with decisive action to maintain safety and efficiency.

Behind the scenes, you’re monitoring quality metrics and conducting inspections, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions. You also track patient satisfaction data, such as cleanliness scores, using insights to guide team performance and elevate the patient experience.

In addition, you manage operational aspects like inventory, equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination, ensuring your team has the tools and resources needed to succeed. By the end of your shift, your leadership has ensured a clean, compliant, and patient-centered environment—one that directly impacts safety and satisfaction across the organization.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred

Licensure

  • Valid driver's license required
  • MRI screening completed upon hire

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team development abilities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of infection prevention practices and environmental hygiene standards
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Work Environment & Expectations
