Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Joliet, IL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping team member to help keep the casino clean, safe and welcoming for guests and colleagues. You will perform cleaning duties across the property, assist guests with questions, handle spills and safety incidents, and maintain floors, carpets and public areas to uphold our high standards.

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least one year of housekeeping experience; strong English communication and guest service

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, floor care, and problem areas.
• Ability to use various floor care equipment.
• Knowledge of safe chemical usage.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the overall cleanliness and presentation of the entire property.
• Provide a high level of guest service and promote a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for guests and team members.
• Perform duties to clean and sanitize various areas of the casino.
• Responsible for the cleaning of blood spills and bodily fluids.
• Maintain ongoing awareness of safety and respond to emergencies accordingly.
• Perform heavy duty cleaning and maintain all guest and employee areas.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and blinds.
• Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
• Keep storage rooms clean and organized.
• Answer guests' questions about the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
