Job summary

Methodist Hospital Hill Country in Fredericksburg, Texas is seeking an Environmental Services Associate Floor Tech to maintain clean floors and carpets across corridors, patient rooms, and public areas. You will perform major floor cleaning and refinishing in line with hospital procedures under supervision.

You will also prepare chemicals and supplies, handle bio-medical and recycling tasks, and strictly follow infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Read, speak, and understand English.
• Prior Environmental Service cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following schedules and prescribed methods.
• Dust mop and damp/wet mop as scheduled.
• Prepare chemicals, supplies, and equipment for assigned areas.
• Deliver and remove Bio-Medical boxes, exchange recycling containers, and clean equipment and ES closet at shift end.
• Apply proper infection control practices and isolation techniques.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Environmental Services Associate Floor Tech you willresponsible for the general appearance of floor and carpeted surfaces in corridors, patient rooms, public areas, offices, treatment rooms, and any other areas deemed necessary by the Supervisor. The Environmental Associate Floor Tech performs the major cleaning and refinishing of floors in assigned areas, in accordancewith standard departmental procedures and hospital objectives at the Medical Facilities.

What you will do In This Role:
