Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an EVS Educator to lead staff training, develop curricula, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards across its Environmental Services teams. The role focuses on onboarding, ongoing education, and performance improvement to promote safe, clean environments for patients and visitors.

The Educator will deliver hands-on instruction, align policies with industry best practices, and travel to-site within OhioHealth’ s footprint to support education initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 4 years EVS-related experience in a formal or informal leadership role.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, Joint Commission, HFAP and Infection Control regulations governing hospital operations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities; able to work in a complex matrix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Staff training and education; deliver initial and annual compliance education via OhioHealth University.
  • Provide hands-on instruction and demonstration of EVS tasks and new processes.
  • Develop and update EVS curriculum and policies to align with industry best practices.
  • Ensure accreditation, regulatory compliance with OSHA, Joint Commission, HFAP, and site-specific requirements.
  • Care Site travel to multiple OhioHealth locations for education.
