Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Toledo, OH is seeking a diligent housekeeping team member to maintain clean and safe common areas across our property. You will operate carpet shampooers, buffers, floor machines, and related equipment, while adhering to safety and chemical guidelines.

Responsibilities include cleaning ceilings, mopping floors, moving furniture, reporting issues, and providing exceptional service to guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable working at high heights.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Operate carpet shampooer and buffer to clean floors.
• Access higher areas using a scissor lift to clean ceiling fixtures.
• Mix and apply cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Move, arrange, and clean furniture and assigned areas.
• Maintain and clean machines after use.
• Report problems to supervisor and follow policies.
• Provide exceptional guest service to all team members and guests.
• Clean parking lots and garage levels, including trash pickup.
• Operate vacuum cleaners, floor machines, and carpet extractors.
• Drive the property's Gator to collect trash from lots.
• Use floor scrubbers on cement areas and clean garage levels.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Operating carpet shampooer and buffer
• Going up in the scissor lift to clean ceiling fixtures
• Recognizing and ensuring appropriate chemicals are used when cleaning and mixing appropriate chemicals
• Moving furniture and cleaning of assigned areas
• Maintaining and cleaning machines after use
• Reporting any problems to Supervisor
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Mopping, scrubbing, rinsing and polishing hard floors
• Moving, rearranging and cleaning furniture
• Operating and controlling all mechanical equipment including rotary machines, blowers and back vacuums
• Providing exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests
• Cleaning and picking up trash in the parking lots and on all garage levels
• Driving the Property's Gator (vehicle) to collect trash from the parking lots and garage levels
• Utilizing the floor scrubber on all cement areas
• Using the tenant and power washer to clean all levels of the garage
• Cleaning up the Casino Entrances including cleaning glass at the entry doors
• Other duties as assigned by Leadership

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must present a well-groomed appearance
• One month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be comfortable working at high heights
• Operating shampooing and sweeping equipment
• Performing duties with a sense of urgency
• Work as a team with other employees
• Must be able to use and control various mechanical equipment
• Able to tilt head back and look up
• Performing frequent, circular motions with hands and/or arms
• Visual range must include near and far distances
• Must be able to maneuver in small, limited spaces
• Able to use ladders, as well as clean ground level areas
• Transporting all supplies to and from work areas
• Maneuvering up and down stairs and reach above shoulder level
• Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction
• Operating the following equipment to include vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop and broom
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, handle chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion)
• Able to walk, stand, and work on hand and knees for long periods of time
• Ability to reach with hands and arms
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, climb, feel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
