Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center is hiring an Environmental Services Attendant to perform cleaning duties across patient care areas and facilities. The role includes trash removal, equipment handling, and maintaining cleaning supplies and carts in good working order.

The position requires physical ability to lift and move items, with a preference for candidates holding a High School Diploma or GED. Responsibilities include setting up meeting rooms and ensuring quality standards in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to physically exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds occasionally.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned patient care and common areas, offices, lobbies and bathrooms.
• Remove trash, including hazardous and bio-hazardous waste.
• Maintain closets, housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment in orderly condition.
• Clean equipment and report items in need of repair to supervisor.
• Deliver and/or retrieve equipment or furniture to designated areas.
• Set up and tear down meeting rooms per requirements.
