As a Housekeeping Associate at Methodist Le Bonheur, you will maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors daily in conjunction with Attendants Floor Care.
• Perform daily and terminal cleaning of equipment, beds and patient care areas.
• Move, transport and handle hazardous waste within the facility.
• Provide and maintain supplies and equipment in all patient care areas.
• Recognize and react appropriately to environmental safety factors related to patient care.
• Maintain and store equipment in a clean and safe condition.
• Adhere to and support unit, nursing, and hospital policies, procedures and standards.
• Demonstrate effective customer relations skills, promote a positive work environment, and contribute to the overall team effort to meet customer satisfaction goals.
• Perform additional job functions as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Education: No formal education required.
• Preferred experience: 1–3 years in housekeeping.
• Sufficient reading, writing and verbal English comprehension.
• Knowledge of customer service principles, procedures and relevant equipment and tools.

Physical Demands

• Climb, push, stand, walk, reach, grasp, kneel, stoop and perform repetitive motion.
