Job summary

Kindred Hospital Westminster is seeking an Environmental Services worker to keep patient and public areas clean, safe and sanitary. You will move furniture and supplies, prepare cleaning solutions, and ensure all areas meet hygiene standards in a long-term acute care hospital environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient areas, restrooms, and common spaces with germicidal solutions, handling waste, and assisting with linen distribution as needed.

• Collects and removes trash and sanitizes garbage cans.
• May handle hazardous waste for sterilization before disposal.
• May distribute clean linen and arrange furniture for events.
• Returns unused supplies to janitor closet in an orderly manner.

Kindred Hospital Westminster

is a 109-bed long-term acute care hospital offering the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. For those who need special care, we offer a 16-bed ICU and four negative pressure rooms. Located just outside of downtown Westminster, we are surrounded by restaurants and shops within a short drive.

Job Summary

Cleans and services building areas; moves furniture, equipment and supplies; and performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, safe and sanitary condition.

Essential Functions

• Selects cleaning materials/supplies and prepares cleaning solutions. Loads service cart and transports to work area.
• Cleans assigned area (including, but on limited to walls, doors, tile, fixtures, patient TVs and equipment) with germicidal cleaning solutions.
• Sweeps, mops floors and vacuums carpet. Spot cleans carpet using appropriate solutions.
• Cleans restrooms, vanity areas, showers and commodes, maintaining sanitary and odor free conditions. Replenishes essentials.
• Collects and removes trash, sanitizes all garbage cans and compactor area.
• May collect and transport hazardous waste in a special closed container for sterilization before disposal.
• May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen.
• Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs.
• Returns unused supplies to janitor closet ensuring all supplies are replaced in an orderly manner.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. (Preferred)

Pay Range: $25.30 - $25.79/Hr
