Job summary

The role emphasizes strict infection control, proper PPE use, and collaboration with Environmental Services to support discharge and cycle cleanings alongside ancillary area cleaning as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• If operating hospital vehicles, a valid driver’s license is required.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and discharge cleaning to prepare spaces for next patients.
• Maintain floors and surfaces: sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning of walls, windows and fixtures.
• Disinfect and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces; handle waste according to protocols.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and use PPE to ensure safety for patients and staff.
