Pilgrim’s Arcadia Location is hiring a Night Shift Evis Sorter in Arcadia, WI. Responsibilities include inspecting birds, sorting to spec, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a production environment are essential.

The role offers a starting pay of $21.22/hour with a $1.50/hour shift differential and benefits after 60 days. Training and development programs are available to advance within the company.

Qualifications

Must pass required written exam.
Able to comprehend simple instructions.
Able to communicate effectively with coworkers, USDA Personnel, and Leadership.
Able to stand and use a knife for 8-to-10-hour shifts.
Food or production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor the Auto Transfer Table lines and keep the shackles full on both lines while identifying and removing Septic birds.
Sort birds at a rate of 35+ BPM.
Gizzard Table – sort, identify and remove yellow peel, identifying ingesta and bile contaminated gizzards at 210 gizzards per minute.
Salvage – properly salvage, vacuum and wash birds per FSQA requirements.
Perform Final Trim by identifying and removing undesired defects.
Effectively communicate with Leadership and Process Control concerning flock, bird, or equipment issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Develop and maintain a working relationship with USDA personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Flexibility to work in changing environment and adjust to various production demands.
May rotate to positions between departments or positions.
Process product using tools and equipment per USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
Apply proper personal hygiene and hand washing.
Process product according to procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
Trains others with the skills and knowledge gained from position.
Observe all safety policies and drive safe work habits.

Position Summary

The Evis Sorter is responsible to accurately inspect all birds for any issues requiring follow up by USDA or Pilgrim’s Leadership

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
