Jefferson County, Colorado is seeking an Evidence Technician to process and maintain law enforcement evidence and related records. The role ensures proper chain of custody, data entry into the records management system, and timely transfer of evidence as required.
The position is part of the Sheriff Criminal Investigations Division and supports audits and inquiries with accuracy. The role requires 40 hours per week, standard benefits, and a 100% drug free workforce.
The Evidence Technician (SO) is required to process and maintain law enforcement evidence and related records. Receive and maintain appropriate chain of custody of property and evidence. Transfer evidence as needed. Process, preserve, and destroy evidence appropriately. Enter data into the records management system.
