Job summary

Valencia County seeks an Evidence Custodian to receive, document, store, safeguard, release, and dispose of physical and digital evidence while preserving chain of custody.

The role administers body-worn camera evidence, supports discovery and public-records responses, and maintains evidence facilities, equipment, records, and supplies; may testify regarding evidence handling and chain of custody.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of directly related experience in evidence or property handling, records management, warehousing, inventory control, digital media management, law enforcement support, or a closely related field.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
