The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction seeks an Education Program Consultant II (NS) to support early literacy, early mathematics and social-emotional development from preschool through grade 3.

You will work under the Office of Early Learning to identify, develop, and implement programs, provide communication materials, and deliver professional development and coaching at regional and district levels.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in the education field and four years of related experience in public education.
• Experience with Read to Achieve and early education standards.
• Ability to deliver professional development and coaching to districts and schools.
• Knowledge of preschool–grade 3 literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional development.

Mansioni

• Support all aspects of identification/development, implementation, and state-wide scaling-up of early literacy, early mathematics and social-emotional development in Preschool through Grade 3.
• Collect data to inform alignment of early education efforts with district and state systems.
• Collaborate with charter, lab, and residential school structures to build statewide capacity for scale-up and sustainability.
• Provide system-level coaching for PSU teams to develop implementation plans and supports for early learning priorities.
• Develop and deliver professional development related to Read to Achieve and ELP standards.
