Job summary

USSSA Space Coast Complex in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Events Team Member to join our operations team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering outstanding customer service and helping to create memorable family experiences during events.

This part-time, seasonal role in Operations involves assisting with event procedures, setting up and breaking down equipment, scanning tickets, handling cash, and upholding safety and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform operating procedures relating to events and programs.
• Act as a liaison between the venue and the guests.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Ensure proper set up and breakdown of equipment; sound systems, scoreboards, game fields, parking, gates, signage, tournament offices, locker rooms, restrooms, and other equipment/materials as needed.
• Maintain proper cash handling procedures.
• Scan tickets when guests enter venue.
• Demonstrate ability to work closely with co-workers and park visitors.
• Knowledgeable in all Safety Procedures with the ability execute procedures.
• Identify risk management opportunities.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce all safety guidelines.
• Adhere to all facility and SFM policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all local, state, health and safety laws.
• Perform all duties as assigned by supervision.

POSITION SUMMARY

Events Team Member provides the first point of contact for all guests. Our Team Members are expected to provide excellent customer service by meeting customer expectations and cultivate memorable family experiences.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Perform operating procedures relating to events and programs

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time both indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
• Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
• Will be required to operate a computer
• Facility has intermittent noise
