Job description

ChangeEngine is the AI-powered employee communication infrastructure that creates communications, not just sends them. One message becomes a branded email, a Slack post, a Teams message, an SMS, and a printed poster: designed, automated, measured, and triggered directly off the customer's HRIS.

In the 2010s, every company wanted a centralized hub for employees to log in, build community, and recognize one another. Now it's the opposite. Employees don't want another app, and like modern consumer marketing, they expect information to come to them exactly when they need it.

Think of ChangeEngine as the air traffic controller and the glue between a company's comms, programs, and tools. We plug into a customer's people data, then segment and send personalized communications to employees wherever they already are, across 75+ HRIS and comms integrations, live in 3 to 4 weeks.

Where we are today: 150+ customers including Constellation Brands, e.l.f. Cosmetics, EoS Fitness, World Central Kitchen, Nextdoor, and Harness. 4.9/5 stars on G2, winner of Highest Performer, Best Support, Best ROI, and Momentum Leader, and Great Place to Work certified. Series A, backed by Threshold Ventures, Struck Capital, and Bonfire Ventures.

The Role

You enjoy traveling and building genuine relationships with people. You'll spend roughly 80% of the year on the road, running our conference presence and hosting intimate executive dinners for CHROs, Heads of Internal Comms, and VPs of People. You're not there to staff a booth. You're there to leave every city with qualified demos on our AEs' calendars and a real relationship strong enough that those prospects actually show up.

Events are our highest-conviction pipeline channel because this market buys on trust and peer proof. Your job is to make that happen on purpose, at scale, and with a number attached.

What you'll own: qualified opportunities (get prospects interested on-site and book the demo before they leave the room), show rate (confirmations, reminders, rescheduling, and pre-call context for the AE), re-engaging the back catalog of cold event leads, conferences (booth presence, speaking logistics, pre-show outreach, on-site execution, post-show handoff), executive dinners end to end (venue, guest list, seating, follow-up), the numbers (demos scheduled and attended, opportunities sourced, cost per qualified meeting by event), and the field intel you bring back from every room you're in.

Who you are: 1 to 3 years in field marketing, event marketing, hospitality, agency-side event production, sales development, or a role where you were personally responsible for someone else's experience going well. You actually like the road, 80% travel included, and you're comfortable being the most junior person at a table of executives while still steering the conversation. You're ruthlessly organized, you keep your head when something goes wrong (because something always does), you write well, and you're not squeamish about asking for the meeting. You want to learn go-to-market, not just event production.

The AI Bar

We sell an AI platform and run on an AI-native stack, so this applies here too. You should be able to walk us through how you already use AI in your work, how you'd research 200 target accounts and build a 40-person invite list for a dinner without spending three days on it, how you'd write 40 personalized invitations that don't read as AI-written, and how you'd work an 18-month-old list of 300 event leads to find the 25 worth a personal note this quarter. You'll be given the tooling: CRM, email, calendar, call recordings, and product data wired into a single AI workspace with internal agents and skills built on top.

Compensation and benefits: $55,000 base salary plus variable tied to qualified demos scheduled, attended, and converted to opportunity. Meaningful stock options. Unlimited PTO. Hybrid out of our San Francisco office. Health insurance with additional perks, including Headspace Care. Global company offsites and team retreats across our US, UK, and LatAm offices. Modern tech equipment and a full AI tool stack provided.
