Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events inside the Michaels store, including children’s parties and craft classes.
• Engage customers and guests, provide friendly shopping assistance, and manage checkouts.
• Coordinate event add-ons (goody bags, balloons) and communicate details to clients and team.
• Handle administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork) and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and in-store recovery tasks.
• Cross-train in framing or other product areas as needed.

Store - ODESSA, TXPlan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.**Event Coordination*** Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.* Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.* Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.* Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.* Communicate events with clients and store team members.* Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.* Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.* Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.* Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.* Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.
