Job summary

Savers, Inc. is seeking an Event Truck Driver to safely operate 18’-26’ box trucks in the Alexandria area, delivering and picking up clothing and small items from local stores. You will navigate using GPS and complete all required daily paperwork.

Minimum 2–3 years driving experience with a clean record and a valid driver’s license are required. DOT medical card and drug screening are conditions for employment. This role is based at 7210 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience driving 18’-26’ box truck.
• 3–5 years clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver and operate 18’-26’ box truck in the local area.
• Complete daily deliveries and pickups of clothing and items.
• Follow GPS directions and plan efficient routes.
• Prepare daily paperwork including vehicle inspections and delivery reports.
• Keep trucks clean and ready for use at the start of each shift.
• Assist other drivers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Savers safety policies and state laws.
• DOT medical card, pre-employment drug screen, and clean MVR conditions.

Pay Range: Our starting pay ranges from $19.15 - $25.00

Essential Job Functions:

• Safely maneuver and operatea18’-26’ box truck through in the local area which may include tights spaces
• Complete daily delivery and pickups of clothing, small furniture and other household items that may or may not be oncarts
• Understand local streets and complete routes and any other assigned stopsefficiently
• Understand how to use and follow GPSdirections
• Complete all required daily paperwork including vehicle inspection, delivery reports and maintenanceforms
• Assist other drivers with workload whenneeded
• Responsible for ensuring that trucks are clean, swept and ready for use at the start of anothershift
• Checks vehicles to ensure proper safety and work conditions are in compliance withSaverspolicies and State laws
• Employment is conditional on receiving a DOT Medical Card, passing a pre-employment drug screen as well as having a Motor Vehicle Report without any violations or accidents within the last threeyears
• Perform other duties asassigned

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

• 2-3 years’ experience drivinga18’-26’ box truck preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to consistently/dailylift upto 70lbs
• Ability to pull or push a pallet jack andcart
• Ability to stand frequently throughout theday
• Ability to climb in and out of a truck frequently as jobdictates

Minimum Age Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
