Job description

We are seeking a reliable, high‑energy individual to join our production team for event‑based Set‑Up and Strike operations. This role is the backbone of our events, responsible for the physical realization of event designs and the efficient breakdown of equipment post‑production. You will work in a fast‑paced environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are the top priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Ⅰ. Pre‑Event: Set‑Up (The Build)
  • Load‑In & Logistics: Assist in unloading production vehicles and distributing equipment, furniture, and technical gear to designated areas.
  • Infrastructure Assembly: Build and position structural elements including staging, trussing, pipe‑and‑drape, and modular displays.
  • AV & Cable Management: Assist technicians with basic cable runs, ensuring all wiring is neatly managed and taped down (gaffed) for guest safety.
  • Floor Plan Execution: Follow detailed layouts to arrange seating, decor, and signage with high attention to aesthetic detail.
Ⅱ. Post‑Event: Strike (The Teardown)
  • Rapid Deconstruction: Efficiently dismantle all event elements immediately following the conclusion of the program.
  • Inventory Control: Sort, wrap, and pack equipment into specialized road cases, ensuring all components are accounted for and protected for transit.
  • Load‑Out: Strategically reload vehicles to maximize space and ensure the safe transport of delicate equipment.
  • Venue Restoration: Perform a final sweep of the site to remove debris and ensure the space is returned to the venue manager in pristine condition.
Requirements & Physical Demands
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended shifts (8+ hours).
  • Punctuality: Events run on a strict “curtain time”; arriving on time for call‑times is non‑negotiable.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with basic hand tools and a “safety‑first” mindset.
  • Communication: Ability to take direction well from Lead Leads and Project Managers in high‑pressure environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in theater, concerts, weddings, or trade show environments.
  • Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment or carpentry.
  • A “can‑do” attitude—no task is too small to help the show succeed.
