Job summary

Coming Attractions Theatres, Inc. is seeking an energetic Event Staff member for our bar and fun center. You will greet guests, craft and serve drinks, assist with food prep, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

The role requires the ability to handle payments, operate a register, and manage basic math. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is expected; training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Mixes, garnishes, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

  • Maintains clean, stocked bar areas and assists with inventory.
  • Tracks open bar tabs and assists with guest requests while monitoring safety.
  • Handles guest concerns and supports the manager as needed.

Description

Summary:

An Event Staff must be friendly, outgoing, and possess good communication skills. Position responsible for ensuring guests’ enjoyment. You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Be guest sensitive and possess a sense of timing. Take pride in personal appearance and show dedication to your job. Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Welcomes each guests personally using enthusiastic words, tone, and body language at all times
  2. Makes guests feel appreciated through your actions
  3. Works as a team with all personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
  4. Works with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to the Company’s standards at all times
  5. Mixes, garnishes, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar following standard recipes
  6. Preps and prepares food items
  7. Inputs drink orders into computer immediately, collects money from guests for drinks served and makes change
  8. Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display
  9. Washes and sterilizes stemware
  10. Counts drinks guests are served and track open bar tabs
  11. Anticipates Guest’s needs and follow the half-full rule when offering another drink; remains alert of Guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledges Guest so they know you will be right with them
  12. Learns guests’ names, occupations, and favorite drinks
  13. Responsibly serves alcohol and remains aware of guests’ state of intoxication
  14. Other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Prepare bar for fun center opening or closing
  2. Track inventory and spoilage control
  3. General theatre cleaning and operational tasks as directed by the Manager on duty
  4. Handle minor customer complaints; Call the manager if the situation is too difficult

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Be of legal age to serve alcohol and have or obtain State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card. Have a basic knowledge of beer and wine.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as; operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Have good communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to good client/customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to perform basic math and cash handling duties.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must know how to operate a register and/or computer or be willing to train, be honest and reliable, self-motivated, dependable and be positive in customer relations with the ability to multi-task.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work for this position is performed mainly inside the bar and fun center. The position requires routine walking, standing, bending, twisting and carrying items weighing no more than fifty pounds. This position requires availability nights, weekends and holidays.
