Job summary

C&J Catering is seeking energetic servers and bartenders in Pennsylvania to provide outstanding client service at events. You will load/unload gear, serve food and drinks, set up and break down event spaces, and ensure smooth operations with etiquette-focused service.

Ideal candidates hold a High school diploma, have a valid driver’s license, and a RAMP certification for bartenders. English proficiency and flexibility are essential for success in fast-paced venues.

Qualifications

• Retail or food service experience preferred.
• Friendly and excellent customer service skills.

• Valid Driver’s License and RAMP certification for bartenders.
• Complete written and oral knowledge of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Load and unload vans for events.
• Serve food and beverages to guests with proper etiquette.
• Remove dishes and glassware from tables.
• Set up and breakdown events including linens, dishes, silverware and decor.
• Follow instructions to ensure events run smoothly and all tasks are completed.
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for clients.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Follow PA Liquor Control Board serving requirements including ID checks.

Requirements

• WORK EXPERIENCE: Retail or food service experience preferred.


• SKILLS: Friendly and excellent customer service skills.


• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Valid Driver’s License and RAMP certification for bartenders.


• LANGUAGE: Complete written and oral knowledge of the English language.


• RESPONSIBILITY: Maintain good relations with customers.


• SECURITY/CONFIDENTIALITY: All materials and information obtained through working with our company may not be given or transferred outside of the company. Violation of confidentiality is grounds for termination.


• TRAINING: Any training held is mandatory.


• PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Must be willing to adjust to last minute changes, engage and assist sales and kitchen staff and jump in where needed.


• WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced environment, high noise level, frequent walking, long hours during event days and lifting up to 50 lbs necessary.
