Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking an Events Set Up Worker to join our campus operations team. You will load, move and unload furniture and equipment across campus sites, and set up and break down staging, tables and chairs for events. Required: High School diploma or GED and a valid Georgia driver's license.

Forklift and basic hand-tool use are involved; a uniform is provided. Full-time role with a regular schedule on campus.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License required.
• Experience loading/moving furniture and equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicle, forklift and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs.
• Place furniture and equipment onto assistive equipment and transfer within building or moving van.
• Deliver, set-up and break-down tables, chairs, stages for campus events.
• Complete records/paperwork for moves.
• Use hand tools and power tools as needed.
• May procure materials from vendors if authorized.
