Job summary

National Capitol Contracting, LLC is seeking an Event Support Specialist to join the NIH events team. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing event spaces, setting up furniture, and performing light facilities duties to support efficient events.

Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, moving furniture, loading and unloading equipment, and ensuring rooms return to standard configurations after events. Evening hours and local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English fluently.
• Experience with carpet cleaning, floor buffing and associated equipment.
• Ability to use computer programs such as Outlook email.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize event spaces and bathrooms to maintain clean conditions.
• Set up, move, and arrange furniture per event plan.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs and manage room dividers and cabling as needed.
• Pack, load, deliver and unload furniture and equipment between locations.
• Maintain inventory and checkout system for lendable items (easels, whiteboards, etc.).
• Return rooms to standard configuration after events and perform other duties as required.
