Job summary

Royal Poinciana Golf Club in Naples, FL is seeking a Seasonal, Full-Time Event Setup Associate. You will collaborate with Events/Catering and Floral teams to understand event requirements, set up rooms, and build structures using paid-for tools while maintaining safety and accuracy.

This role requires physical stamina, a Florida driver’s license, and ability to lift 60 pounds. Hours are based on member needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with overtime eligibility.

• Prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling; lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to use a ladder up to 12 feet.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Events/Catering and Floral to understand the event and setup.
• Works with Catering and Banquet staff on room setup and timing.
• Builds and dismantles structures and props as assigned.
• Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
• Hangs pipe and drape as assigned.
• Maintains tools and equipment for safety and performance.
• May perform painting as needed.
• Measures, marks, and arranges materials per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Uses hand and power tools to build assigned projects.
• Joins materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesive.
• Follows a load list and a floorplan for event setup.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with Events/Catering and Floral departments concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the event to be set up.
• Works with the Catering and Banquet staff on room set up and timing.
• Builds and dismantles structures, props as assigned.
• Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
• Hangs pipe and drape as assigned.
• Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
• May perform painting as needed.
• Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
• Joins materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive.
• Follow a load list.
• Follow a floorplan for event set up.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Pay & Benefits:

This is a seasonal, full-time, non-exempt, hourly position that is eligible for overtime. Hours are based upon member needs, which includes working evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Competitive pay based upon skills and experience.
