Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security professional to join our team for University of Wisconsin events in Madison, WI. This part-time role combines event staff duties with security tasks to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for attendees.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, assisting attendees, and coordinating with security personnel. Must be 18 or older with a HS diploma; some college preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience in event security or related field is advantageous.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods and stay physically fit.
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a security license as required by local regulations.
• Background check and drug screening must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and equipment organization.

• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, following established protocols.
• Monitor event areas to enforce event rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
• Handle and resolve attendee complaints or conflicts in a calm and professional manner.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to deliver a high standard of service and security.

Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary depending on local regulations).
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (some college education is preferred).
• Previous experience in event security, law enforcement, or a related field is advantageous.
• Possess strong physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Exhibit excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
