Job summary

ASM Global is hiring a Full-Time Security Officer for the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. The role involves patrolling, crowd control, and safeguarding guests and staff during events.

You will monitor CCTV, access control, and respond to emergencies, documenting activities and communicating clearly with team members. The position requires flexibility for evenings/nights and weekends, with a pay rate of $16 per hour and a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months security experience preferred.
• OPOTA Certification beneficial but not required.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certification preferred/maintained.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain for required equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Secure premises by patrolling property.
• Maintain a safe and calm environment through crowd control and monitoring of facility cameras.
• Direct guests and provide information or directions in a courteous manner.
• Conduct routine property walks and check doors, loading dock, and event spaces.
• Control access and movement of trucks and people to loading areas.
• Respond to emergencies and use CPR/AED when needed.
• Complete detailed shift reports and maintain daily activity logs.
• Operate fire alarm and surveillance systems and the facility command center.
• Maintain radio communication with Command Center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
