Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services is seeking part-time Event Security staff for venues in Los Angeles. The role involves bag checks, access control and ensuring guest safety while delivering excellent customer service. A CA Guard Card is required, with flexible scheduling and weekly pay.

You will check bags, verify IDs, direct traffic, and respond to security concerns, helping maintain a safe, enjoyable guest experience at sports stadiums, concerts, festivals and conventions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug/alcohol test post-offer/pre-employment; driving checks may apply.
• Ability to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
• Overtime work may be required; strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in event day preparation and execution.
• Manage venue entry: tickets, wristbands, badges, traffic flow.
• Screen guests with bag searches, wand/metal detector, ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring checkpoints for breaches.
• Respond quickly to crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Follow venue policies and procedures across different venues and events.
• Provide directions and helpful information to enhance guest experience.

Allied Universal® Event Services is looking to hire Event Security. This position is responsible for checking bags, enforcing access control and implementing policies and procedures for the safety of the guests and owners, while providing superior customer service for the best guest experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Allow appropriate entry into each venue, may collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic coming in and out of the venue.
• Screen guests during entry via bag searching, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff, and venue ownership group assets by watching for security breaches at vital checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to potential crowd control issues and provide escorts for unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events.
• Provide a positive experience for guests as they arrive at your facility entrance, aisle, concourse area or other location
• Provide guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that will enhance their entertainment experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• As a condition of employment, candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; additional screening may be required if driving a customer or company owned vehicle.
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
