Job summary

AEG Presents is seeking a Stagehand in Denver to assemble and dismantle stage elements before, during, and after performances. You will work with carpenters, electricians, lighting and video crews to ensure safe, smooth production setup and teardown.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow directions and execute instructions accurately.

  • Assemble and set up stage equipment at the start of performances and disassemble and remove equipment at the end of each scene.
  • Load and unload equipment from trucks; set up according to stage design while ensuring safety requirements are met.
  • Assist carpenters with scenery build and installation; construct and paint set pieces; move and rearrange furniture.
  • Collaborate with electricians and lighting assistants to maintain video, sound, and lighting systems; ensure operations of these systems are functioning properly.

Job description

Stagehand

Summary: The Stagehand is responsible for performing all set-up before, during, and after events, including assembly and disassembly of production equipment on stage. The Stagehand works closely with carpenters, electricians, lighting assistants, and other production personnel for scenery, sound, light, and video production.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assemble and set up stage equipment at the start of performances, including props, microphones, instruments, scenery, etc.; disassemble and remove equipment at the end of each scene and clean the stage and backstage area.
  • Load and unload equipment from trucks; set up equipment according to stage design while ensuring safety requirements are met.
  • Assist carpenters with scenery build and installation; construct and paint set pieces; move and rearrange furniture.
  • Collaborate with electricians and lighting assistants to maintain video, sound, and lighting systems; ensure operations of these systems are functioning properly.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in manual labor preferred.
  • Forklift and heavy machinery certification is ideal but not required.
  • Ability to follow directions and execute instructions accurately.
  • Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary Range (per hour)

$20.00 – $25.00

Bonus

These positions are not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.

Event‑based positions are not eligible for benefits through AEG Presents.
