Job summary

Manchester Central is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join the Temporary Services team on a full-time basis, providing electrical services for exhibitions and events, including testing and inspection of installations, and assisting the Lead Engineer with setup and breakdown.

Candidates should hold an electrical qualification (C&G 236 Part 1/2 or Level 2/3) and C&G 2382 BS7671 Regulations, with a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role, and be able to work in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Providing temporary electrical services for exhibitions and events, including the testing and inspection of electrical installations
• Assisting the Lead Engineer in the coordination and delivery of the temporary services team to facilitate event set up and breakdown
• Maintaining all stock inventory in line with statutory obligations as required
• Carrying out general maintenance within areas of responsibility

Reporting directly to the Temporary Services Lead Engineer, this role is working on a full time, permanent basis.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• An electrical qualification, ideally C&G 236 Part 1&2 and or Level 2/3
• C&G 2382 BS7671 Regulations
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a similar role

You Must Have:

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Experience of working within restricted access and high-level work
• Knowledge of statutory regulations and health and safety
