Qualifications

• Remains attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Acts as a leader within the team by inspiring excellence and continuous improvement.
• Greets and interacts with Members, guests, vendors, and colleagues in a service-oriented manner.
• Responds promptly to ensure client requirements and expectations are met.
• Sets up banquet and event spaces per event orders, including furniture, equipment, and décor.
• Assists with loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of event spaces and storage areas.
• Assists with breakdown and returns spaces to original condition.
• Organizes storage facilities for efficient movement of equipment and supplies.
• Collaborates with Food & Beverage staff to ensure seamless event execution.
• Communicates member needs and feedback to management.
• Follows Club policies, procedures, and standards.
• Supports a safe and professional work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

About The Job

Join our team as an Events Houseman for the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club! The Club, located at Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, is one of the most elite social clubs in the world. As part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts portfolio, its sister properties include The Montecito Club, Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara, Four Seasons New York, Las Ventanas Al Paraiso Resort Cabo San Lucas, San Ysidro Ranch, and Sandpiper Golf Club.

This position is compensated at $20/hr, and is eligible to be included in the Coral Casino Tip Pool Policy.

Essential Duties

• Exhibits sincere hospitality and prioritizes member satisfaction at all times

• Sets up banquet and event spaces according to event orders and diagrams, including arranging furniture, equipment, and décor
• Assists with loading and unloading supplies and equipment
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of event spaces and storage areas before, during, and after events
• Assists with breakdown and ensures spaces are returned to their original condition
• Organizes storage facilities to allow efficient movement of equipment and supplies
• Collaborates with Food & Beverage service staff to ensure seamless event execution
• Communicates member needs and feedback to management
• Adheres to all Club and departmental policies, procedures, and standards
• Supports a safe and professional work environment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods (up to 8+ hours).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally as needed.
• Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, reach, push, pull, and move furniture
• Ability to maneuver efficiently in a banquet/event environment
• Ability to withstand repetitive motions and potential exposure to loud noise
