Job summary

Big Sky Resort is seeking an organized Event Coordinator to support an exciting year-round calendar including on-mountain events, races, activations, live music, and resort-wide experiences.

You will partner with the Events Team and multiple departments to plan, coordinate, and execute events from start to finish, handling timelines, logistics, and post-event follow-ups with a proactive, detail-focused mindset.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in events or hospitality preferred.
  • Ski resort experience preferred.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proactive and collaborative.
  • Willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on the event calendar.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in variable mountain weather.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of events and programming across the resort.
  • Assist with timelines, run-of-shows, function sheets, site plans and planning documents.
  • Support event setup, execution, breakdown, and load-in/load-out.
  • Assist with partner, vendor, talent, and third-party event logistics.
  • Coordinate with departments across the resort to communicate needs and timelines.
  • Maintain event calendars, trackers, files, invoices, and planning materials.
  • Assist with assets, shipping/receiving, inventory, and post-event recaps.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the Events team.

Overview

Big Sky Resort is looking for an organized, energetic, and adaptable Event Coordinator to join our Events team! This role supports an exciting year-round calendar including on-mountain events and races, partner activations, live music, après programming, and resort-wide experiences.

Working closely with the Events Team as well as a variety of departments across the resort, this hands-on role supports events from planning through on-site execution. We’re looking for someone who loves the details, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is just as comfortable behind a spreadsheet as they are setting up an event or solving a problem on the fly.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events and programming across Big Sky Resort.

  • Strong collaborator who is willing to jump in wherever needed.
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in variable mountain weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and move event equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event setup and execution.
  • Ability to ski at an intermediate level.
