Job summary

Velociti is hiring for an event cleaning position in Pittsburgh. You will prepare spaces, perform pre- and post-event cleaning, monitor cleanliness during events, and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe, hygienic venue.

The ideal candidate will have prior commercial or event cleaning experience, flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays, and the physical ability to lift and move equipment. Strong attention to detail and good communication are essential.

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare event spaces by setting up cleaning stations with necessary supplies.
• Perform pre-event cleaning, ensuring all surfaces are dusted, floors are swept or vacuumed, and restrooms are stocked.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness during events, including spills, trash removal, and restocking restroom supplies.
• Assist with any cleaning-related needs that may arise during events.
• Perform thorough post-event cleaning, including clearing trash, cleaning surfaces, and restoring the venue to its original condition.
• Break down cleaning stations and return equipment and supplies to storage.
• Respond promptly to cleaning-related emergencies to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Empty and replace trash liners in bins throughout the event space.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly, restocking soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Monitor restroom cleanliness and address issues promptly.
