Job summary

Seward County is seeking an Event Center Maintenance Technician to maintain the Agricultural Building, out buildings at the Fairgrounds, and the Activity Center. The ideal candidate will ensure grounds are well-kept, equipment is maintained, and safety standards are met at all times.

The role requires experience in groundskeeping or maintenance, knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and maintains building and building structures including interior and exterior lighting, electrical and plumbing fixtures, and parking lot upkeep.
  • Performs painting and drywall maintenance and other basic and complex maintenance.
  • Performs small repairs on HVAC units including cleaning and changing filters.
  • Safely operate and care for ground maintenance equipment such as tractors, mowers, rollers, utility vehicles, and power tools.
  • Knowledge of installation and maintenance of drip and large turn irrigation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic and construction drawings.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
