Levy Sector at Tulsa Zoo seeks an Event Captain to oversee premium/catered events, respond to guest needs, and deliver memorable service. You may lead or support Catering Supervisors, coordinate setup, greet guests, serve food and beverages, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will follow approved recipes, maintain sanitation and temperatures per HACCP standards, and train staff on expected duties. Applicants must be 21+, may need Food Handler and Alcohol certifications, and benefit from

• Experience in delivering excellent customer service in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety best practices.
• Ability to lead and motivate catering staff during events.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and/or support catering staff to set up event spaces according to plan.
• Interact with guests, address questions and resolve issues promptly.
• Instruct staff on work expectations and service standards for catered functions.
• Assist in assembling/delivering food and supplies to scheduled locations.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.

EVENT CAPTAIN - Tulsa Zoo

Summary

The Event Captain is responsible for completing, directing, and responding to guest needs and questions throughout premium/catered events at Tulsa Zoo.

• May lead or support Catering Supervisor as liaison with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements; address last-minute changes and resolves problems.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items.
• Instructs staff on work expectations for catered functions.
• Helps staff set up rooms to desired specifications.
• Assembles and delivers food and supplies to scheduled locations.
• Serves food and beverages to guests.
• Returns food, beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Ensures proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
• May be required to obtain/maintain law & Levy required certifications, such as Food Handler and Alcohol certifications.
• Must be 21+ to ensure compliance with state required alcohol sales, service, and handling certifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
