Job summary

Thompson Palm Springs Resort in Palm Springs, California, is seeking On-Call Events/Banquet Servers to join the hotel’s Event Services team. The role supports banquet functions with attentive food and drink service, and helps ensure presentation and guest experience meet luxury standards.

This nonexempt, hourly position pays $16.90 per hour, plus service charge. Candidates should have prior event services experience, strong verbal skills, stamina to stand long shifts, and flexibility to work

Qualifications

• Experience in event services.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Physical stamina to lift moderate weight and stand long shifts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must possess and maintain a Riverside County Food Handler Card.

Responsibilities

• Handle food and drink service for hotel banquet functions.
• Set up linens and tables and design food stations.
• Serve drinks and refresh rooms between sessions and keep area clean.
• Perform general prep work and ensure the event space looks its best.
