Job summary

The Starting Gate at GreatHorse is hosting events and seeks a Banquet Server to provide outstanding service during meals and receptions. You will assist event managers, greet guests, and ensure smooth service throughout the function.

Responsibilities include setting up tables, attending pre-event briefings, maintaining station cleanliness, and promptly responding to guest requests while adhering to venue policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Knowledge of beverage ingredients.
• Multitasking abilities.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Take initiative and perform tasks with diligence, speed, and accuracy.
• Confident about the venue and upholding its integrity.

Responsibilities

• Aid event managers in serving guests during banquet functions to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Set up the banquet room with glassware, silverware, and linen as requested.
• Attend event meetings before kick-off to learn function details and guest expectations.
• Be responsible for assigned station, appearance, and sanitation.
• Greet and welcome guests.
• Respond to guest requests promptly, courteously, and in a friendly manner.
• Serve beverages and food in order and per supervisor’s expectations to ensure consistency.
• Quickly remove dishes as guests finish each meal.
• Abide by policies on serving alcoholic beverages.
