Job summary

Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Laundry/Materials Assistant to manage inventory, stocking, receiving and delivery of supplies across the system. You will use a handheld computer and the inventory system to ensure accurate stock levels and timely fulfillment.

You will support team members in supply chain activities, maintain clean and organized inventory areas, and assist with packing, routing and delivery to nursing units, with a schedule of 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience in supply chain/materials management preferred.
• CRT-HI-LO certification is mentioned as a possibility; status unclear.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requisitions by dispensing inventory or ordering from vendors.
• Maintains inventory levels and rotates stock; keeps area neat and orderly.
• Uses handheld devices to manage inventory and input data to the system.
• Assembles and delivers orders to requesting units; ensures proper delivery techniques.
• Packages, labels and ships orders; verifies against purchase orders.
