Job summary

Aiken Technical College is seeking a Lab Equipment & Lab Readiness Technician to coordinate and assure lab readiness for Technical Education labs. Responsibilities include installation, repair, and setup of training devices, inventory management, and coordinating lab maintenance. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of related technical experience; evening availability from 4:00 p.m.

to 10:00 p.m. A welding technology certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and one year of related technical experience.
• Able to work in a team, follow safety protocols, communicate well, and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with lab equipment testing and minor repairs or coordinating vendor support.
• Inventory controls and supplies requisitioning; set up equipment for labs.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and setup training devices as needed.
• Inventory and maintain lab supplies by course; ensure items before semester.
• Perform periodic maintenance of lab equipment.
• Help organize labs; set up storage areas and labeling training devices.
• Set up lab scenarios to ensure equipment works before and after the lab.
• Maintain lab appearance; touch up painting, lighting, organization.
• Coordinate building maintenance and track to completion.
