Job summary

Elon University School of Law Library seeks an Evening and Weekend Reference Librarian to support students, faculty and alumni from Greensboro. The role includes co‑teaching, instruction development, and FDLP program oversight.

Qualified candidates hold an MLIS and a JD, with teaching and reference experience preferred. Some travel between Elon campuses may occur; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library/Information Science and JD required.
• Combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
• 1+ years of professional library experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Legal Research program and develop instructional materials.
• Provide general reference and research assistance to Elon Law students and faculty.
• Staff reference desk shifts and provide virtual/chat reference.
• Create/update LibGuides and reference materials; attend reference meetings.
• Collaborate with library faculty and the FDLP program.
• Participate in library committees and policy development.
