Job summary

Pequod's Pizza in Chicago, IL is seeking dedicated kitchen team members to join our back-of-house staff. You will assist with food preparation for appetizers, salads, pastas, sandwiches and pizzas, keeping stations clean, organized and well stocked.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or pizzeria.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Strong teamwork and communication.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; Food Handlers certification if available.
• Positive attitude, reliability and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks, following established recipes and standards to ensure quality and consistency.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing utensils and sanitizing surfaces.
• Monitor food supplies and replenish stock to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members to prioritize tasks.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
