Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College seeks a part-time Instructor to provide instructional training within the ISET program at the Manufacturing Technology Center. The role involves preparing lesson plans, delivering ISET coursework, and fostering student growth in critical thinking, communication, and problem solving.

Responsibilities include documenting student performance, maintaining records, and performing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related Engineering discipline.
• Significant related experience may substitute for education.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field or must have a Journeyman Card/License in the related field.
• Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
• Ability to assess and grade the progress of students.
• Possess sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and preparing lesson plans based on established curriculum.
• Deliver training related to the ISET program.
• Continually promotes students’ development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision‑making.
• Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
