Job summary

Intermountain Health Environmental Services at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT is seeking a full-time evening/night housekeeping role. The position requires working every weekend and entails cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining sanitary facilities to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.

The role involves cleaning discharge rooms and assigned areas, following departmental procedures, and adhering to infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

One year hospital cleaning experience preferred.
Demonstrated communication skills to differentiate color-coded labels and/or chemicals and follow written and/or verbal directions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department.
Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect assigned areas per department procedures.
Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
Understand procedures and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash.
Handle and clean up emergency spills per department guideline, Joint commission, and OSHA standards.
Follow infection prevention practices, PPE procedures and related standards.
Maintain work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety.
