Job summary

Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties Inc. seeks a temporary Team Leader for the Warming Center in Hudson, NY. The role supervises Attendants, ensures policy adherence, and acts as on-site administrator during the Code Blue season.

This temporary, non-exempt position runs November 1, 2025 through May 7, 2026. Shifts are 5:30pm–12:30am or 12:00am–8:30am, five days per week. You will complete required documentation, engage with guests, and coordinate with the Center Coordinator to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Intermediate competency in Windows/MS Office and electronic health records.
• Understand HIPAA privacy laws and adhere to them.
• Excellent written, verbal and computational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid NYS Driver's License and a clean MVR preferred.
• Willingness to travel with clients in agency vehicles.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Proficiency with online technology systems including EHRs.
• Attend and complete all required training.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Regular and steady attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Attendants on shift and enforce policies and procedures.
• Serve as on-site administrator for the Warming Center.
• Ensure documentation is completed in timeframes per funding source.
• Provide guests with orientation to policies and center operations.
• Attend daily Guest Meetings and facilitate as directed.
• Use harm-reduction strategies to support guests' goals.
• Provide health coaching and recovery support, including wellness, meds, entitlements.
• Maintain guest records in electronic health records.
• Prepare shift reports and related documentation timely.
• Keep the center clean and sanitized, including duties like cleaning and laundry.
• Coordinate with staff to connect guests with community services.
• Ensure safety across physical, mental, spiritual health, and inclusivity.
