Job summary

UFP Industries in Salisbury, NC seeks a warehouse associate responsible for keeping the facility clean and organized, and for maintaining orderly, autocleaning production in the racks. Load, unload, and move products by hand, on carts and pallets, following safety guidelines.

Duties include counting and recording inventory, matching materials to paperwork, labeling accuracy, packing materials securely, pulling daily orders without a forklift, and reading pick lists; basic hand tools may be used

Qualifications

• Entry level, no experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Must have knowledge of custom store fixture industry and receiving.
• Ability to clearly identify product from package labels.

Responsibilities

• Accurately count and record quantities so proper inventory transactions can be made.
• Identify materials moved match descriptions on associated documentation.
• Ensure proper labeling and up-to-date product numbers.
• Ensure bulk packed materials are boxed, taped, wrapped, packed, banded, shrink-wrapped or secured for safe transport.
• Locate, identify, label and pick required materials from printed pick lists.
• Pick daily orders without using a forklift.
• Use a camera to document inbound/outbound load conditions and quality issues.
• Use basic hand tools for opening/closing crates and basic assembly tasks.
• Read and understand written pick lists.
