Job summary

Expeditors International in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a warehouse associate to accurately receive, load, store, and execute shipment orders. You will work a shift pattern including Tue-Fri 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM and Sat 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, handling inbound, storage, cargo handling and outbound freight with forklift and other equipment as needed.

The position requires standing for long periods, safety-first mindset, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch; use proper lifting techniques.
• Successful candidates must pass a background check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship needed.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Must be able to commute to Hawthorne, CA.
• Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inbound freight: count products, take weight, compare to manifest, report discrepancies.
• Storage: store items safely on racks and locations.
• Cargo handling: move orders with equipment and verify labels.
• Outbound freight: ensure shipments are complete and correct, sign documents.
• Facility: maintain clean, safe workspace and operate equipment safely.
• Inventory: assist with inventories and cycle counts.
• Other duties: repack/re-box; operate shrink-wrap.
• Security: follow TSA/ CCSF guidelines and company processes.
