Job summary

Ascension in Nashville, TN is seeking a Central Service Technician specialized in Sterile Processing to join the Sterile Processing Department on the evening shift. You will decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble instrument sets, following IFUs and AAMI standards.

You will inspect instruments, manage inventories, document processes, and support patient safety through rigorous quality control. The role requires licensure/certification in sterile processing and a high school diploma or equivalent;

Qualifications

• Must have Central Service/ Sterile Processing credentials from a recognized body.
• Credentialed from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or CBSPD prior to hire date.
• Education/licensure can substitute for experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, sterilization of instruments following IFUs and AAMI standards.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, integrity and function.
• Assemble instrument sets and manage inventory for case carts.
• Document sterilization processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support mission-driven service and uphold core values in daily work.
