Qualifications

• Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician Program.
• CRASE training; travel assignment extensions over 6 months require CRASE.
• Minimum of one year sterile processing experience within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV verification from licensing board if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations).

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, disinfect, sterilize, package, and store instruments per protocols.
• Distribute sterile supplies and prepare surgical case carts based on physician needs.
• Follow standard precautions, use PPE, and comply with safety procedures.
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor indicators; document results.
• Receive, inventory, and restock sterile processing supplies.
• Maintain documentation and professional communication; support training.
