Job summary

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the full-time, evening shift. You will sterilize, clean, and decontaminate medical instruments and supplies, assemble case carts, and maintain sterilization areas to support surgeries and procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with Sterile Processing training preferred and certification as a Central Service Technician (CBSPD or HSPA). Prior experience is appreciated as well.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a Sterile Processing program preferred.
• Certified Central Service Technician required (CBSPD or HSPA (IAHCSMM) certification).
• Prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfection, decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of medical and surgical instruments.
• Case cart assembly and distribution.
• Care and distribution of patient care equipment.
• Maintain the sterile processing areas.
• Follow instructions to ensure quality metrics and standards.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods; push, pull and lift heavy items.
• Computer literate.
